Is it because it's fall? Or is it because the Phillies are just wrapping up, the Eagles are in full swing and the Sixers and Flyers are underway that we think of tailgating on a cool November weekend morning. Tailgating is an American pass time. It's in our blood.

If we're heading down to the game, we're thinking of getting there a little early to warm up in the parking lot. If you're the one with the pickup or SUV, you know it's your job to pickup the cooler and the grill and be the first to arrive on the scene.

What To Bring

Remember, you can never have too much. Bring plenty to eat and drink and you can't have too many cool gizmos. There are two must haves. A serious cooler and a serious grill.

Let's start with the Super Cooler. The super cooler will keep your beverages ice cold. You can keep your keg cold all weekend with just 3 bags of ice - perfect for the game. The lid even reverses to fit 1/4 or 1/2 kegs and has an opening in the center for a picnic pump. The cover can also be used as a bowl for cans, bottles and food. The molded handles on the sides make for easy transport. It even has wheels. The super cooler is a must have gizmo.

If you need to feed the crowd, the portable propane gas grill featuring a large cooking surface, powerful 20,000 BTU burners and lava rocks is what you need. Skimping on the grill will only cause trouble down the road as the pre-game progresses.

The Food

A tailgater is often judged on food alone. Burgers and dogs are fine - they're great but come on! Where's the ribs? Don't you have your own sauce? Those are brats, right? These are the kind of questions that can slow down an otherwise fast-paced tailgating afternoon. Seriously, don't be afraid to concoct your own BBQ sauce on the fly.

Overall, remember to leave plenty of time to enjoy. don't be rushed to get to your seat. Most of all, dress warm and have fun. See you at the game.
